Kenneth Charbauski joined Love Funding in September 2010 as director of loan originations in the company’s Washington, D.C. office and now works in Love Funding’s Tampa office. In this role he is responsible for originating FHA loans on healthcare and multifamily properties and assisting in the underwriting of loan applications.

Ken joined Love Funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he served as FHA underwriter and mortgage credit analyst in the agency’s Greensboro, North Carolina office. During this time, he was responsible for underwriting and reviewing FHA loan applications on multifamily properties, processing construction draws on properties undergoing new construction and rehabilitation, and providing direction and training to lenders’ underwriters on FHA guidelines.

Ken has extensive experience in multifamily real estate financing beyond his time at HUD. Before joining the agency he served as an asset, transactions and development manager at AIMCO’s Chicago office. At AIMCO, he was tasked with managing a 60-property portfolio, redeveloping section 8 properties using low-income housing tax credits, and performing due diligence, underwriting and executing real estate transactions for the country’s largest multifamily REIT. Before that, Ken worked as an acquisitions associate at The Richman Group, a private investment bank specializing in the syndication of tax credits and equity financing of low-income housing tax credit developments.

Ken received an MBA in finance from the University of Illinois in 2004. He completed his Bachelor of Science in communications at the University of Florida and also holds a Master of Science in meteorology from Mississippi State University.
